Good location, access to Alameda park and historic district by foot, and close to metro and bus stops. Spacious room with acceptable and clean furnishings.
The hotel is under renovations to change from Monte Real into the Howard Johnson's label so there are a few inconveniences due to construction process, the smell of cement and dust in the lobby most of all. The continental breakfast included in our rate was very poor in quality and lack of choices. The staff did not offer any variety until we asked repeatedly.

The hotel was ideal and fairly clean. the rooms were impeccably clean and unique. - the breakfast was satisfactory. - the location was favorable, next to Alameda plaza and close to many attractions such as Palacio de Bellas Artes, Torre Latino, and Alameda Gardens. It was also convenient for ATMs and restaurants.

It's pretty cheap and has a really good location, close to a metro station and the Alameda.
The lobby was under construction. The bathroom didn't have shampoo and the room didn't have AC. The ceiling fan was really noisy. The rest of the room was okay. The breakfast included was really awful and the juice was also very bad.

It was very central. I liked being able to open the windows, even though the street was noisy outside
The internet didn´t work for the three days I was there.

In the end of the day was a good value for money because Hotel Montel Real is extremely well located.
Hotel Monte Real was a cheap and usefull offer and was nothing more than this. Although the staff was not unpleasant they did not really enjoy helping.

The location and price were amazing. Staff was friendly and hard working.
When we arrived they set up on the 8th floor. It was aweful looking, but they moved us right away to the newly remodeled thred floor which look just like the pictures of the internet.

Hotel is close to El Palacio de Bellas Artes, la Torre Latinoamericana, El Zócalo and some other touristic places. Our room was big and comfortable. The hostess at the restaurant were kind and helpful. If you want a cheap but comfortable hotel just to sleep, this will be fine.
They do not respect the price from Booked.net: the actual price resulted 6.5% more expensive than it was supposed to be (not from taxes, but from money exchange issues). The hotel was being redisigned and was too noisy and dusty in daylight, but it was ok at night. Employees (except for the hostess) need to be more kind and courteous. Except for the restaurant, the hotel didn't have common areas, to work or study, available.
